I agree with everything that was said, the problem however, is that universal coverage is a compelling argument that was not addressed until now. The answer is health savings accounts with high deductible insurance for all Americans through tax policy. Then each patient is now in charge of what they spend. The results in Indiana have been excellent. With time the monies in the health savings account accumulated over a life time would eliminate the need for Medicare and Medicaid.
This ribbon is to raise awareness of the recent damage our government has caused to health care freedom and the integrity of the doctor-patient relationship. Under the new law (PPACA), physicians will be compelled to base their advice and treatment on politically determined goals, even when in conflict with the best interest of their individual patients.
